Peter Mitchell called the meeting to order at 7:05 p.m. 

1.      Review & approval of previous minutes. Minutes from the January meeting were approved. 

2. Review & approval of financial statements. The financial reports for the January meeting were approved.  

3. Operations Report.

    A. Operator’s report. 

        i. Water usage. 58821 gal/day 

         ii. Test Results and Testing.

             Bacteria results negative.

             Fluoride results within tolerance.            

    B. Marc ordered new coveralls to use when working with chemicals. 

    C. Marc installed the chemical feed pump started it manually and was running good, will see how it is tomorrow, once it is working correctly he will plug it into the Act Pack. 

    D. The Board approved Marc running a new 115 volt receptacle and will also add more receptacles that are needed. 

     E. The generator on Poker Hill needed to be reset also the generator at the Control building was down a quart of oil so he added one. 

     F. Marc set off a pesticide bomb in the control building to get rid of the Asian Beetles. 

     G. Mike is doing chemical testing he has a brother in law he is going to ask to give us a quote on redoing the piping at the control building. 

4.      Customer concerns/comments. 

  • A.  Bob Genter a Professor at Johnson State College attended the meeting to share his knowledge of Fluoride with the Board. The first question discussed was what the long term effects to the body are. Studies have not been done on people whom have had long exposures. He suggested that we contact OSHA to put in an air sampler to check the levels in the building when you are using it; he believes you should feel a burning sensation in your lungs if you breathe in a large amount. He also recommends a meeting with Keith Kirchner at the college for information on proper ventilation.
  •      ATC is a company that can monitor air quality. Marc will contact the VT Air Quality Division. Marc is going to contact Simons and see how many of the systems they operate us fluoride; Joe recommended that he also contact Clearwater. The Board stated they will continue the research and then contact Linda Greaves and let her know where we are headed and if they offer any help.

  5. Repairs and Maintenance. 

 6. Old business. 

  1. A.    There is a Sidewalk meeting on Wednesday Joe and Marc will attend. 
  1. B.     Joe is going to contact Loni Morse and Chris Morrissey, Marc will contact Steve Jennings and Sara Ritter to see if they have any interest in filling the Trustee position

 7.  New Business. 

  1. A.    The Board approved the purchase of two full face respirators. 
  1. B.     Joe moved that Peter sign the contract we received from the Vermont State Department of Health for fluoride equipment. Jane will make a copy and mail it. 

8. Bills to review & approve for payment. Bills were reviewed and approved. 

9. Next Meeting Date:  Next regular meeting March 11, 2013 at 7:00 PM                                        

10. Adjournment. The meeting was adjourned at 9:10 PM.
